Refunds and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how subscriptions, renewals, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds work on buildam.io. Our goal is to keep billing predictable and transparent.
1. Subscription basics
buildam.io is offered as a free plan and one or more paid plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) through our payment provider. Plan features, limits, and prices are shown on the pricing and billing pages at the time of purchase.
2. Automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method until you cancel. You will receive an emailed receipt after each successful charge.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your account remains on the paid plan until the end of the current billing period, and then returns to the free plan.
4. Downgrades
When your account returns to the free plan, your projects and documents are not deleted. Some paid features (for example, branded exports without watermark, premium templates, or invoice conversion) become unavailable or read-only until you re-subscribe.
5. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the period that has already started, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a serious service issue, contact contact@buildam.io and we will review your case in good faith.
6. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider may retry the charge. We may notify you to update your payment method. If a payment cannot be collected after a reasonable retry period, your account may return to the free plan.
7. Receipts and invoices
Receipts for successful payments are sent by email and may also be available on the Billing page. Please keep a copy for your records.
8. Data after cancellation
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. To request account deletion, contact us. Data retention after deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Price changes
If we change subscription prices, we will give reasonable notice before the change applies to your renewals. You can choose to cancel before the new price takes effect.
